HHT on TLC!

Oh my! Last night I was up watching Medical Mysteries on TLC, it is on at 10:00, I should've been in bed but I wanted to watch this one part of the show. I didn't know it had anything to do with HHT but come to find out, it was! They show the symptoms, tell you what was going on and then reveal the diagnosis, or the cause of what was causing the symptoms! It was a really cool presentation. Dr. White! from Yale was the doctor that this family went to, that was cool! He explained a lot about HHT, namely that he asked the family, after they discovered an AVM in his lungs, if he had nosebleeds! Come to find out the dad and the son had terrible nosebleeds, and he was correctly diagnosed with HHT in the end. They performed the lung coil embolization procedure and the boy was feeling better. It was pretty cool to see this on tv! Imagine all the doctors and people who saw that, I was so excited, this is the kind of attention and awareness that needs to happen for HHT! I just wanted to share that. I have been soooo busy lately, I hope to be getting some more stuff done with HHT awareness come this fall, as life slows down a little~! I wish that I could go to the HHT conference at Yale, in October, don't see that happening right now with the little one and stuff. I hope to go next fall!
